This mod is for players who dislike the artificial player light that was added with Season 2 Chapter 1 and appears during darker periods of the game (night time). For those of us who feel like it makes the game too easy or makes torches unnecessary, this mod is for you. Night returns to being more difficult to see and hazardous to venture out in without having a light source to back you up.

Its a pretty straightforward mod and I have no plans to do anything else with it.


An alternative recommended mod is Severe Weather by Drachenfeles. It also removes the artificial player light as well as make nights darker. In addition, it adds many other fun features that is configurable via ModControlPanel to make your game harder and more exciting.

Obviously there is no reason to run both this mod and Severe Weather. This mod's only purpose is to be a small and simple mod to do one thing, where as Severe Weather offers that feature and much more. Link to the mod is below.
