Description
This map is my attempt to recreate a scenario called The Frontiersmen by Genstallik as a random map script, which was requested by Gagman.

The point of this map is that you load up your transport ships and choose a suitable spot of forest to colonize. You will need to cut down lots of trees to make space for your buildings (hint as soon as a tree has been chopped down, you can place buildings on it – you don’t have to wait for all the wood to be harvested). The big gold and stone areas are guarded by wolves. The forest contains scattered food and individual gold and stone mines.

In the multiplayer version (MP) all players start in the center with transport ships and villagers.

I’ve made a single player (SP) version in which only player 1 starts with transport and all the other players start with a TC, mill and lumber camp. This helps the AI performance a lot, although it’s still not as good as I would like. When the AIs spawn in the forest, they tend to do better than when they spawn on islands. Only use this for single player since the starts are unequal, and that’s not fair for MP to have some players start with a TC and others not.

To play, choose the following when setting up a match:
Map style: Custom
Location: ZN@Frontier (MP or SP)

Any updates for that fix? I should mention that I got the same error with Lake Nomad and Rivers. Thanks.....

uuh yes, I may have added DLC units when I updated it. Let me check that

I'm getting an invalid units error. It's trying to find African Kingdoms units like zebra, goat and baobab tree. Do I need The Conquerors DLC? Funny, got it to work the first time but never after.

This map has been updated to include a snowy area and a desert area.

Working on an update to this map. Thinking of adding a snowy area and a desert area. Both would still have trees, just a different type.

Someone recently pointed out to me that this map was missing regicide support. That is now fixed in v1.3

whats the ai version. Also i had the idea of a desert map but its a dry see with shipwrecks and everyone has a useless dock and is evated not sure if you could do womthing like that
