Description
This map is a 1:1 port of Mario Kart DS.
Uses the original textures from the game, in their original resolution.

I added ground, climb and air nodes. It's my first time making a map for Gmod, idk if I have forgotten anything that Gmod maps need. I'm used to L4D2.

Has a "default" size version which was better for L4D2, but also has a 2x size version that's better for driving on.

Well, some maps like that large ass legend of zelda map are using just the model of the map and then build nodraw brushes.

But if you wanna know how to make a model.

That makes a lot of sense! I always wondered how people made ports like that. I remember trying to convert an OBJ file to a mdoel that would work in source but I always got stuck at that part cuz the guides were confusing to me LOL.

I first downloaded the ripped map, which was an obj model file.
Then I turned it into a model so I can open it in hammer.
After that, I literally just used the model as guide to build brushwork around. Rebuilding the entire thing from scratch.
