The Barnacle as it is affectionately referred to by its pilots, is a small and cost effective CV mining vessel. It comes equipped with a total of 4 mining lasers and a single 320k harvest bay. It is perfectly suited to short ranged mining excursions, cargo hauling, and opportunistic mining as a support vessel docked to another ship. This is in fact where its namesake is derived from. The Warden in particular makes for an excellent companion to the rugged Barnacle. A single minigun turret provides protection against drones.

Notes:
When using this vessel in Reforged Eden you can install a compact shield generator using the maintenance hatch located on the bottom of the ship.

Encase anyone is wondering this CV is RE2 compatible. Actually its needs to be modified to a T1 not cpu extenders needed even after you add the compact shield gen. I would recommend this be brought in with the shield already installed. I noticed a lot more drone presence in RE2 then in Vanilla or RE1. Most compact miner CV Ive seen that actually works like a champ. Where the CPU is I added a Med unit and on the opposite side I added a shower for Radiation/Temp control if needed.

I rate this 4/5 stars. Only loses a star because it won't fit through the hangar door of the Intrepid. Otherwise a super useful and accessible CV miner.
