This mod has been updated for 1.37

This mod is an update from the original mod Reborned Military of LoXyO, which was let down on 1.34.

Also i was inspired by another mod done by Zipzopdippidybopbop. You can find here Enhanced Army Professionalism

I made many change about balancing and reworked the slacking recruitment we have in 1.36.

This mod should work with almost every mod as long they don't change professionalism or are total conversion that change unit type.

Here is the complete changelog of the changes :

Professionalism

At 100 % professionalism, you now get as bonuses :

- Fire damage +25%
- Shock damage +25%
- Siege ability +50%
- defensiveness +25%
- drill decay -45%

but also as maluses :
- Land maintenance +30%
- Infantry cost +20%
- Cavalry cost +20%
- Fort maintenance +25%
- Manpower recovery speed -20%

Compared to the original mod, defensiveness has been added, so 2 nation's full professionalism doesn't instant siege each other, also land maintenance is the same for infantry and cavalry from the original mod (50% land maintenance) but only 30% for artillery as it was too expensive late game and was bad versus large non-professional armies.
A small manpower recovery speed maluse is added to be more realistic and logical with the ability to slack recruitment.

Bonus for each tier of professionalism has been updated and are the following :

level 1 (20%) and level 2 (40%) give +25 % Cavalry flanking ability

level 3 (60%):
- Return manpower on disband
- Reinforce speed +10%
- Global garrison growth +5%

level 4(80%) :
- Moral damage from reserve -50% (vanilla)
- Free leader +1
- Army moral recovery speed +10%
- Cavalry flanking ability : +50%

level 5 (100%) :
- General cost -50% (vanilla)
- Drill gain modifier +100% (vanilla)
- Free leader +2
- Artillery barrage cost -50%
- Artillery level available vs forts +2

Slacking recruitment

Another big part of this update is the slacking Recruitment which is useless in vanilla
Now to activate the slacking recruitment you need at least 20% army professionalism (and stay above 20) and you will spend 4 on activation. However, you will get much more benefits which are :

- yearly army professionalism -2% (from -5% Vanilla)
- Manpower recovery Speed +200%
- Reinforce cost modifier -25%
- Reinforce speed +20%
- Infantry cost -20%
- Cavalry cost -20%
- Recruitment time -20%
- monthly war exhaustion 0.10

Now slacking the recruitment can also be used to make your army recover and recruit faster and reduce the cost for them, very useful now if you are close to bankruptcy or in a hard losing war you cannot lose, And you lose way less professionalism for long usage. This is no longer deactivated on manpower full.
Be aware that's you will increase monthly war exhaustion, and so don't keep it for nothing !

Other's change :

- Recruiting a mercenary company now reduce by 2.5% the professionalism instead of 5
- Siege are automatically won under 400 men (from 900 in the original mod)
- An Army with soldier full trained now have -20% attrition (very useful for siege)
- Reduced by 3 the average time for skill increase to general.
- minimum morale from training of non mercenary is 0.75 from 0.5) to prevent weird bug where armies cannot move immediatly because of attrition

1.36 Update:

- Removed the Ai Composition change as this modification could mess up with Conversion mod like Extended timeline or Voltaire Nightmaire
- Updated the value of professionalism and slacking recruitement from the 1.36 original value
- Cavalry is back to 20 ducats for balancing purposes
- Added calvalry flanking ability to make cavalry more used in late game composition
- Removed Heavy ship small buff

It is working fine. Europa Expended change one little thing on professionalism but it doesn't impact a lot. Both mod can run together (and myself i did play with europa expended with my mod)

This mod is already compatible with like 99% of the mod in use in EU4. I only touch things specifics to professionalism and from what i know almost every conversion mod don't touch it (Voltaine nightmaire, Europa expended, Extended timeline ...) so you can play with my mod activated (but better load my mod in the end in case of problem).

I think only Imperium universalis and Elvenar touch professionalism as they touch the core unit system too so my mod would be useless for them because they have their own modificatrion.

If you wanna my mod be more popular, share my mod, create a collection featuring it or rate it (missing almost nothing of rating to have the 4-5 star rating and get way more visibility)
