This map is a part of NoahJ456's Movie Mapping Contest, in which over the course of June 2023 mappers were given the month to create a map based off of a movie. This is The Winchester, the famous tavern from the movie Shaun of the Dead, in which Shaun and his friends take shelter from a zombie apocalypse. Many references, scenes, and Easter Eggs are replicated throughout this map, so if you have a keen eye and good memory about what occurs in the film, you may have an upper edge here!

I made the original Winchester zombies map almost 3 years ago as my first ever map, and coming back to reimagine it after all this time was a blast. To all of you who supported me from then to now, thank you for being a part of this journey!




From classic zombies weapons such as the revamped and reworked Wunderwaffe DG 2.5 to weapons inspired by Shaun of the Dead like The Winchester and a Cricket Bat, there are many weapons to experiment and play with on this 'day of the dead'!




The fun does not stop at the pub! Along with weapons, there are quests and events both inspired by Shaun of the Dead key moments and other aspects to flesh out the experience. Good luck out there!



This map does include copyright material, via the jukebox. Although a visual warning saying 'copyright' is seen above it, I'd like to write something here to give it more detail. The jukebox functions by picking up random vinyl records scattered around the map (and some through more secret ways), then adding that vinyl to the jukebox (The album cover on the record reflects what song it will add). The jukebox will only play music when the player directly interacts with the jukebox and purchases a song to play, and those songs can be stopped once they are played by interacting with it again. If you'd like to listen to a song without the fear of a copyright problem, you can type '935' into the TVs when power is on in chronological order, which will add the song 115 into the jukebox's playlist.
