Description
The McDonnell XP-67 was the initial endeavor by the McDonnell Corporation to create a bomber-killer for the US military. However, as of 1944, the Germans had shifted their focus towards developing fighter aircraft, rendering the requirement for a true dedicated bomber-killer unnecessary. Consequently, the US military decided to cancel the project.

Similar to my other aircraft, you simply need to flip the cooling and air/fuel pump switches and turn on the ignition (the key switch). To make the engine actually run, you need to increase the fuel/air intake by pulling the air/fuel lever. Once all of that is done, you should increase the clutch pressure, and the propellers will begin working.

For a quick take-off, you should wait for the RPM to reach 60 and then increase the clutch pressure to facilitate a rapid ascent. This is possible due to the flywheel on the engine. :-)

The engine is a modified version from CaptainSmollett's 'Pre-Made' Modular Engine Pack which you can find on the workshop

The plane is equipped with one armament at the nose and three others on each wing, consisting of 1 x 75 mm cannon and 6 x 37 mm cannons (heavy autocannon and light autocannons).

In real life, the original version of the plane was intended to have only six 12.7 mm machine guns and four 20mm cannons, but I opted for the alternate version with 1 x 75 mm cannon and 6 x 37 mm cannons. I honestly have no idea where the machine guns would be located since it was actually never added so i just made a wild guess and added them to the outer wings

The actual prototype achieved a maximum speed of 270 mph, while my version has a maximum speed of 170 mph. However, it is not as disappointing as my XP-55 project. The creator of the XP-67 claimed it would reach speeds of 500 mph, but as mentioned before, it only managed a maximum speed of 270 mph. It's possible that this information is incorrect. According to Wikipedia, the cruise speed is 270 mph and the maximum speed is 472 mph. On the other hand, militaryfactory.com states that the maximum speed is 270 mph, and it doesn't specify the cruise speed, so I don't know.
