APRIL 17th, 1989 - Cheryl's day is interrupted by a phone call that directs her to a building housing mafia members and a "guest," relishing the opportunity to let off some steam.

(Be sure to head back into the bar after the phone call! There's two extra cutscenes: one with your date and one with a returning character.)

CHERYL: Kindness had always been met with the harsh truths of life for Cheryl. No good deed she ever did went unpunished. This left her bitter, but also in desperate need of someone to share her life with. This combination of resent and loneliness left her unable to hold relationships for too long, causing too much bottled-up anger to spend. The hits that the strange phone calls gave her were the perfect solution. Cheryl eventually earned the nickname "Don Juan" for the way she hopped from person to person.

This level is part of a series I'm calling ONESHOTS, where I make levels and stories for the operatives we never really get to see. Cheryl is a hopeless romantic wearing a horse mask. Like always, the player spritework is simple. I really don't have the time to edit the whole spritesheet for a character that I'll only use in one level. Death sprites show off her full appearance. Cheryl wears a green tank top with pink short-shorts, white sneakers, and white knee-high socks (with pink bands, as you can see in the cover art).
