Another idea for your consideration is highlighting important puzzle elements in clear, easy to see lighting. Obscuring important objects like buttons in darkness has a strong negative impact on the puzzle solving experience

It's good practice to put in a way to respawn a box, particularly when you can fizzle it through and emancipation grill
