Description
Description
The Comeng Sets are the workhorse of the Melbourne Suburban fleet located in Australia, being introduced in 1981 and undergoing several refurbishments since. This mod only includes the most recent refurbishment, the 2017-2021 life extension project for both the EDI and the Alstorm models. Trains typically operate in 2 x 3 car sets in a M-T-M arrangement, and this mod features both 3-car variants and 6-car variants of both models (including a mixed EDI/Alstorm). These trains are soon to be replaced by newer trains in the following years, with several already being scrapped.

Basic Statistics
  • Year Introduced: 1981
  • Cost: $4 500 000 (3-car)
  • Max Speed: 115km/h (service)
  • Max Pax: 765 (crush)

This mod has rather inaccurate performance stats. The power is listed as 8x124kW on wikipedia, and slightly different braking states. Would you consider making an update to the mod to correct these stats, given that the standard for modding and accurate performance stats has been raised? If not, would you be okay with myself pushing an update referencing and listing this mod as dependency, perhaps with new variants of Met Green & Gold and Vicrail Orange & Silver?

I'll see, but its a fair amount of work to re-texture these so no promises.

Would you consider creating the Xtrapolis 2.0? To complete a set of all known EMUs?

@marstankal Once I finish most of the train network, I'll start thinking about trams and creating tram models
