Description
Description
The Joaron-class, named after a Colefordian county, is a standard schooner. They're used widely on the colefordian colonies as the small transports, escorts or commerce raiders.
Their unparalleled speed makes them ideas for those tasks, albeit she quite lacks the firepower and survivability.
Because of the threat that such vessels make towards the Montrian merchant and light shipping, in the Montria was estabilished a specialized group of light ships called the Hunters, whose task is to chase, ambush and destroy the raider forces of the Coleford, so it's best to know who are you going to fight with.


Characteristics
Length (weather deck): 31 meter.
Beam (widest frame): 7 meters.
Draft: 4 meters.
Height (from the waterline to top of foremast): 26 meters.
Maximum speed: 16 knots


Armament
18 guns: 9 per broadside.


Features of Full Canvas
Animated Sails.
Destructibility - masts collapse affecting speed.
Yards turning to the wind AND can be manually angled for extra turn rate.
Multiplayer optimisation.


Operation
Sailing
Find a handle on the tiller, controls are labelled.

Firing
Find a handle of either ship's broadsides.
Press 1 and wait for guns to roll out.
Hold [Trigger] to fire a salvo.
Reloading is automatic and takes around 30 seconds.


Notes
The first Colefordian ship of the Project.
Recommended to play at Medium physics settings.
REQUIRES INFINITE ELECTRIC AND AMMO
USE A MODDED WORKBENCH OR MISSION EDITOR TO SPAWN

The new sails are super lame, the way to fold them is even less optimised than the sails that I currently use, and implementing the new sails means a horrendous amount of rework to the entire propulsion and stabilisation system. For 12 ships.

I don't plan adding sails to my ships, the update was to bring the schooner up to date with the standard of Full Canvas

I know they're the best, this is why I decided to build them, there are so few actual sailships in SW that are both fun and optimised, and i think i have to make new discord links again

Staysails are impossible to add, remember, masts are collapsible, i don't want for them to float in air when one mast falls, and minimum rigging is not an option, it will only lag and add too much pain in the ass to make masts fall properly
