Rhamphorhynchus - Prehistoric Kingdom: Dino 'Ditions Poseable Kit

"Rhamphorhynchus, a small pterosaur from the Solnhofen Limestone Quarry. When this flapper was alive, all of Europe was a tropical chain of islands, a bit like the Caribbean or Indonesia are today. When an animal here died and fell into either a lagoon or a dead lake, the anoxic conditions prohibited even bacteria from breaking down its remains, leading to exquisite specimens found nowhere else, for us to sample and resurrect for the whole world to see."
