Description
Manufacturer: [HDI] Hephaestus Defense Industries

Association: Artemis Republic Defense Navy

Series Series: Artemis Series

Ship Class: Destroyer

Registry #: 586

Ship Name: Ortus

Designation: AS-DR-586 Ortus

The Ortus is a destroyer class ships designed to operate in groups of 4 or less as a strike and pursuit unit. Fielded in contested areas where a fleet may be unable to leave the area, this ship and its group have operational jurisdiction to be deployed and function in an official capacity anywhere in the system.

Designed to accommodate a crew of up to 5 long term, on board facilities ensure a reasonably comfortable, if bland interior.

onboard combat systems include a state of the art AI processing unit, numerous turret systems, and 12 forward facing railguns. Although not designed to tank shots from incoming hostile assaults, it is a durable ship with redundant subsystems allowing it to persist in a battle even if it is disabled from flight maneuvers.

Ship specs:

Blocks: 4,268
PCU: 26,509
MAss: 4,244,792

Produced by HDI in the Zeta dockyard, it is considered a substandard ship only due to the somewhat vulnerable rear fuel housing. The design allows for the rear thrust segment to be swapped out with relative ease for a new unit should it be damaged.

What're the planets used in the pictures?

Yeah but I think the unsinkable is more to avoid an expensive sinking of the ship, be it in combat or simply from an act of God who seems to love irony.

i think its amusing that they explicitely forbid that name(and other similar ones) to be used.
like i get that the "HMS Unsinkable" is a bit ambitious but "Unthinkable" is just a fun play on names.

Good thing I'm not British.
