LevelUp - Unit Medal Overhaul

Description
Goal:

This mod overhauls the level up rewards for various unit types with the aim of increasing unit type identity by allowing them to excel in specific roles as they gain experience.
It achieves this through adding/rebalancing level up rewards for each unit type, focusing on ‘class’ specific style passives and abilities.
The goal is to provide a fair and ideally balanced experience that rewards players that manage to keep their troops alive to the higher experience levels, while spicing up combat and increasing the viability of high level but low tier units.


UNIT RANK REWARDS:
Shield Unit: Melee support tank, deflects missiles and protects allies.
Champion Medal: Deflection (Mod* +2 Defence against non-flanking Physical Ranged attacks.)
Legend Medal: Defender (Mod* Adjacent allies gain +1 Defense. Note: can stack.)

Shock Unit (Infantry): Front line breaker, maintain aggression for maximum carnage.
Champion Medal: Aggressive (When this unit attacks an enemy, it gains a stack of +10% Critical Chance. Stacks up to 3 times, lasts 2 turns, all stacks reset when a new stack is gained, can’t be dispelled / countered.)
Legend Medal: Brutal (Mod* +50% Critical Hit Damage.)

Shock Unit (Cavalry): Mobile killing power, control the field with superior mobility and devastating charges.
Champion Medal: Charge (Mod* +5% damage per hex travelled, up to 3 hexes.)
Legend Medal: Aggressive Tactician (Mod* Unit regains 33% Action Point when killing another unit with a Magic, Melee, or Physical Ranged attack. Works once per turn.)

Polearm: Versatile infantry with strong defensive stances.
Champion Medal: Retaliator (Mod* +1 Retaliation +20% damage via Retaliation Attacks and Opportunity Attacks.)
Legend Medal: Defensive Attackers (Mod* This unit has +2 Defence against non-flanking Melee attacks.)

Skirmisher: Ultimate flanker, slip through enemy lines to strike down priority targets.
Champion Medal: Evasive (Mod* Unit has +15% Evasion.)
Legend Medal: Ambusher (Mod* +30% flanking damage.)

Ranged: Ultimate ranged precision, take out priority targets from afar.
Champion Medal: Accurate (Mod* Unit has +20% Accuracy.)
Legend Medal: Sniper (Mod* +1 range on Physical Ranged attacks.)

Battle Mage: Ranged damage dealer, blast down enemies with critical casts.
Champion Medal: Control (Mod* +10% Critical Chance.)
Legend Medal: Empowered (Mod* Ignore up to 1 Resistance 2 Status Resistance.)

Scout: The eyes and ears of the army, detect enemies from afar while guiding troops unseen through enemy territory.
Champion Medal: Spy Networks (Mod* Unit has +2 Vision and +2 Sensing range.)
Legend Medal: Deceptive Spy (Mod* All units in the army have Universal Camouflage.)

Support: Battlefield buffer, deflect enemy magic while warding nearby troops from attack.
Champion Medal: Spellshield (Mod* +2 Resistance against non-flanking Magic attacks.)
Legend Medal: Spellwarden (Mod* Adjacent allies +1 Resistance. Note: can stack.)

Fighter: Melee duellist, evade retaliations while striking through enemy defenses.
Champion Medal: Vigilant (Mod* Gains +4 Defense and Resistance against Retaliation Attacks and Opportunity Attacks.)
Legend Medal: Martial Expertise (Ignore up to 1 Defense 2 Status Resistance.)

Mythic: Legendary unit, deadly and durable, battlefield terror that can sway the course of battle.
Champion Medal: Dominance (Mod* Unit has: +20% Damage. Vicious Killer.)
Legend Medal: Ancient (Mod* Unit has +2 Defense. +2 Resistance. +30 Hit Points.)


Compatibility:
Only the base game is required.
This mod is compatible with all base game Languages.
This mod overwrites the ‘core unit – type’ entries in the UnitTypes_Definitions.rpk and will not be compatible with any other mod that edits the same data.
Realistically this will only be mods that also edit the medals for units on a unit type by unit type basis i.e. all shock units, or all shield units.

I've checked through each unit type in the game including bone dragons specifically and can't find any issues with level up bonuses applying correctly.

It could be another mod conflict.

Try disabling this mod and see if it goes away. If it does it's probably a mod conflict with another mod you have in your list.

For some reason, some units did not have bonuses for the first 3 levels and did not have bonuses to stats for all 5. For example, the bone dragon

Removed visibility from a lot of them.
Updates have made a lot obsolete, or close to obsolete imo so I took them down so I don't have to continue supporting them.

I've made the Trainer mod visible again but not currently playing AOW4 so haven't been doing any real playtesting after the last DLC.

Can do quick updates if people let me know if somethings broken, but other than that not actively developing mods atm.
