Hawker Typhoon Mk I/a - WW2 Aircraft

Description
Hi, this is our 1:1 build of a WW2 Hawker Typhoon. We've done our best to make it visually accurate while still being a joy to fly. Below are some details and a brief history on the vehicle, so please subscribe and have a fly! :)

Engine:
Napier Sabre H-24 - A 24 cylinder H configuration engine which produces up to a
maximum of 22RPS (77RPS at prop) However it is not recommended to run at this RPS.
This aircraft has a maximum run time of ~3hrs under no load

Armament:
4x .303 Machine Guns with 400 rounds of ammunition
8x hardpoint connectors (Most suitable for small bombs or rockets)
2x centre hardpoints (Middle of aircraft, Suited for drop tanks or larger bombs)

Capabilities:
Top Speed - 300 Kmh
Turn Time - About 18 secs for 360°

History
This stunning aircraft came into service mid-1941 and was originally designed to be a medium to
high altitude interceptor. However, due to issues with the engine performance since the Napier
Sabre H-24 ended up performing better in lower altitude roles.

Later in it's development, this engine could output up to 3,500 hp (2,600 kW)and operated with a
fairly popular sleeve valve design which was primarily used in cars at the time. The first
aircraft this engine was ever fitted to was the "Napier-Heston Racer", designed to break the world
speed record at the time.

There were many variants of this aircraft with an array of different armament loadouts, the
original design (This workshop creation) was designed with 12 .303 (7mm) Browning machine guns.
Later models were then fitted with 4 20mm Hispano autocannons, bombs and RP-3 Rockets were also
loaded onto the airframe.

The Hawker Typhoon was first introduced into it's low-altitude interceptor role when it was the
only British aircraft that was fast enough to catch the Focke-Wulf 190 that also came into
service in 1941.
In 1943 after the modifications to the armament, this aircraft also moved into a more needed
ground attack role, in which it has reported the destruction of many WW2 German transport
vehicles and vital communications targets during the Normandy Landing raids.

Hey KaffeMachine, thanks for the feedback although personally I try to minimize XML modding in my builds but there was some use of XML, for example to hide the landing gear in the wings.
but yeah, the feedback has been noted and maybe you'll like the G55 me and Matty are working on now a bit more as it has a a little bit more XML

im gonna be honest here, it looks 3 years old, heres why; its too wide, make it 3 blocks wide, and discover xml.

Hi Dio, thanks for the feedback, and we appreciate the rating. Will definitely take this into account for any future vehicles we may have!

Thanks again,
Matty

thank you for the tip

this one´s got a nice shape, except the big control surfaces are a bit off. If you want, you can just use some 1x1 fins and cover them up with xml. The nose corn is also a bit short. Otherwise a nice little plane: 7/10
