Very creative! Took us a few minutes before we figured out what was happening hahaha.

The looping mechanism with the objects changing was such a great idea for a room!

this was such a good room! simple but effective.

I knew I could bring the chess pieces with me and I still didn't connect the dots.

Thanks for the feedback! Thanks for pointing out the walkthrough error, it's been fixed. Also the queen needs to be on E6, if the queen goes on E7 the king can kill her, and if she goes on any other space the king can move diagonally to avoid check

Excellent !

The queen should trigger the opening of the chest on every square on the vertical line, and not only the closest one Other than that, fun little room

Nice little room - thanks!

A bit short, but between it being seamless and allowing the player to go backward without bugging out, there's some artistry here. And in concept it's kind of a scarier room than a lot of the pitch-black haunted houses to be found here.

Also: there's an error in the walkthrough where it says the knight should be on D7 instead of F7. At least, I presume it was an error; it did help me reach the actual solution.
