Description
Block's Special Rarities

Block's Special Rarities is a very small mod that introduces a few unique rarities to some particularly rare/special items.
These rarities cycle between 2 colors - akin to Master Mode's Fiery Red - lending these items a tiny bit of extra personality and uniqueness.

The following items currently receive special rarities:
  • Terraprisma
  • Coin Gun
  • Bone Key
  • Rod of Discord (+ Rod of Harmony)
  • Zenith
  • Red Potion
  • Moon Lord Legs
  • Waffle's Iron

All new rarities can be toggled via. config.

As for compatibility; multiplayer should be fine. There is potential for mod conflicts if other mods do stuff with rarity, particularly with the above items. Turning off offending rarities/items may help.

@ankh the femboy, nah it's fine. I actually don't use Discord very much, so yeah...

ah no problem! do you want to join the discord server to keep up with development?

@ankh the femboy, thx for the compliment and the offer, it means alot!
For the moment I'll have to turn you down, though. Right now I like working on my mods alone so I can have the freedom of basically 'doing what I want when I want'. I've also got a lot of stuff planned on my personal roadmap so I wanna focus on checking those boxes for the time being.
I dunno how what the scale of your mod is, but I'll keep an eye out for it and if it's still WIP when I've finished my projects then I'll definitely consider joining in!
In the meantime, good luck with your mod, sprites look good so far!

Just wanted to say I'm a big fan of your mods! I've been working on my own mod lately and thought it'd be worth a shot to ask if you'd be interested in joining the team.

Here are some sprites in the mod if you're interested! https://imgur.com/a/I2iWkFH

gotcha, that makes sense

@jakeg, I'm not sure rarities can be client-sided; while these rarities are really just visual tweaks, tML's ModRarity class - which is what is used by this mod since it's proper convention - are full blown rarities that have unique rarity IDs in the game.
This means if I were to set the mod to client-side, if some players on a server didn't have the mod you'd start experiencing de-syncs with rarities and possibly even crashes if a player without the mod tried picking up an item with a modded rarity since that client wouldn't be able to make sense of the modded rarity ID.

can you make this client-sided?
