Description
Temperate | 1:1 Scale | Mods Required

A 1:1 scale map of Swindon, Wiltshire, England, recreating the town and environment as of a 1960 Ordnance Survey map edition. That means no Magic Roundabout! This map was made in 2022 and for personal use, but I've decided to publish it. Unfortunately I can't publish the Ordnance Survey overlay as it is within copyright.

Instructions
  1. Subscribe to all assets and mods within linked One-Click Collection.
  2. Start Cities Skylines, enter Content Manager to activate any new mods. Ensure your 'Tree Control' settings enable at least 460,000 trees on load otherwise your map will be broken.
  3. Select 'left hand drive' when creating the new map.
  4. Map is now ready for playing.
  5. Use Play It! to boost FPS by reducing game speed to circa 35%

  • Highway Connections - Six
  • Rail Connections - Four (there are two unconnected outside connections to reduce dummy rail traffic)
  • Shipping Connections - None
  • Air Connections - Four
  • Buildable Space - 98%

@bobstoneswc thanks. The magic roundabout is located at the three road junction to the east of the railway station. I'll publish a link to modern aerial overlay later.

i'm going to try to build a modern swindon, could you possibly give me some clues with landmarks like where the roundabout is in relation to the station would be on this map? thanks great work

please when you use assets in map before that think the person which his computer can't run assets
