The Solution [GSC]
The Oceanian Armed Guard faced a crisis. While decently sized, the air force was spread thin in the Pacific, leaving their ground units in Southern Africa largely without air cover and support. This became an issue as Diamond Coastal aircraft reaped heavy casualties on the Oceanian troops with frequent strafing runs. The solution to the crisis was a dedicated, mobile anti-aircraft platform, and it came in the form of the GUV-8/AA, a 3x3 truck with a massive 4x4 trailer to keep up with the moving operations. Once the war ended, GUV-8s had been used in many roles and produced in great numbers, and would later have the honor of carrying the first ground-launched anti-air missiles.

Author's Notes:
The Western War, now called The Great Southern Conflict, takes place inside of my conceptualized Nach Kaiserkrieg alternate history segment around the same era as WWII.
