Yogi-Class Transport

Description
The Yogi-class is a hydrogen-powered craft, specifically created with endurance and versatility in mind. While optimized for a crew of three, it can safely seat up to nine engineers at a time. For cargo capacity, the Yogi features four protected medium containers. Four external hard-points can be found on the wings for mounting sensor pods, weapon pods, thruster pods or other equipment. Additionally, the Yogi can carry medium-sized equipment or cargo under the central part of it's body in a dedicated cargo bay. To accommodate for maintenance or taller cargo items, the Yogi features three extendable landing gear skids.

Much of the Yogi is built around redundancy and accessibility. While the two main batteries should be enough to sustain itself on most journeys, two nuclear reactors and a hydrogen engine provide the Yogi with the means to regenerate it's own power supply. Similarly, while 600,000 liters of hydrogen storage capacity should sustain any trips the Yogi embarks on, an array of eight O2/H2 generators means running out of either gas is an unlikely event. Audio warning systems are designed to keep the crew informed of these stores running low. Additionally, two small backup batteries provide enough energy to make a safe emergency landing, or at least to open the doors and ensure free access between the cockpit and the outside world.

With a wingspan of 24.5 meters and a nose to tail length of 21.75 meters, this respectably-sized craft will not fit in just any hangar, though it's height of 7.5 meters means it won't require special doors. Even if you don't have a sheltered hangar ready for it, the field-tested Yogi is guaranteed to make a worthy addition to any fledgling faction looking to establish itself on new worlds, and it certainly won't mind being parked on external landing pads.
