Description

SCN Spruance Class Guided Missile Destroyer:

The SCN Spruance is a Second Generation warship design, with capabilities that practically eclipse anything designed before it. Designed and constructed by Systems Aerospace Concern; a conglomeration of 5 companies, Stand-Off Defense Corp, Kusayagi-Stewart Military Industrial Corporation, Systems Aerospace Concern, Kusayagi-Stewart Drive Technologies, and Systems Shipbuilding and Defense. The Spruance is equipped with the latest and greatest technology the USCS and SCN have to offer. Equipped with a Size II Kusayagi-Stewart Alcubierre drive, the Spruance can travel at faster than light speeds more efficiently and effectively. Built with lessons learned from the various skirmishes with outer rim pirates in operation Cosmic Shield, the Spruance has a sophisticated target acquisition computer, courtesy of K.S.M.I.C systems, purpose built to counter mass ambush tactics, The Phalanx system can passively track and lock upwards of a hundred targets, making it perfectly equipped for a-symmetrical combat. Equipped with six SLM-1 Sparrow missiles, the Spruance is able to engage any target deemed a threat. The Spruance's capabilities expand on the USCS's ever growing capabilities, with expeditionary fighting in mind for the Spruance's main operational capabilities. Further advancements have also been made in tracking targets moving faster than light, with the Spruance able to track and lock onto FTL signatures of ships in transit, making it more dangerous than any other SCN ship in service. The SCN currently fields 55 Spruance classes, with construction contracts for another 100 over the next three years, in accordance with the USCS department of the Navy's new expeditionary fighting proposals. Another 55 are currently under construction at 3 of the SCN's major Shipyard, and ship construction facilities, at New Richmond, Newport, and New Haven. These ships are expected to leave drydock within 12 months.

I've spent several days on this ship, and its honestly one of my favorite builds, I have several other SDC/SCN ship builds to upload, Gen 1 ships are coming soon, so make sure to keep an eye out for them. This ship is meant for cinematics, so its not exactly survival ready but I think with modifications that should be a fixable issue. Anyways I hope you all enjoy, and stay happy and healthy!

I should credit Omega for the ring design on this ship, the ring design is based on the ONRC Mainstay, you should really go check that out the link is here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2772015530 I highly encourage you check it out as it is probably one of the best looking ships on the workshop, in my opinion.

Love all of your work. This ship is officially my favourite to fly around a solar system with Modular Encounters cranked to max, destroying anything I see. The targeting camera is so much fun.
