Actual Strength XP from Combat

Description
  In the vanilla Kenshi, there is some STR xp given to you while you were fighting enemies, but why did you never actually notice that?

  Because there is a catch: you only get full STR xp while you were swinging weapon that has its required STR level 20 over your character's STR level. What does that means? Let's say your weapon's required STR level is 40, then you only get full STR xp while your STR is below 20, if it's over 20, you get less and less, to a point it's almost nothing.
  And that's the main problem why you never noticed the STR xp from combat most of the time, the heavier the weapon, the bigger the required STR level is(the formula is most of time 2*Weight, but preciously it's 40*Weapon Blunt Damage).Typically you were never gonna swinging weapons that its required STR is bigger than your STR level, since it would also slow down your attack animation.

  This mod is trying to fix that problem. It change the softcap of STR xp given by combat from 20, to 0, which means you will get the full STR xp, all the way until your STR level is matching the weapon's required STR, a whopping 20 level increase. Let's say the weapon's required STR is 40, and you will get the full STR xp from combat, all the way until your STR is over 40, only after that you would get less and less. This should makes your Kenshi experiences of STR gain from combat more smoother.

  Also in the vanilla there is a 50% multipler of STR xp gain from combat, making the vanilla STR xp gain from combat even less noticeable. This mod also changes it to 150%, combine with the weapon STR xp change, you will notice a significant impact of STR xp gain from combat.
  In short, you want Strngth? Do less carrying and lifting, just fight more and get rewarded from that.

Division by zero causes the problem.
If you want to nerf weight difference set it to 1, but not 0

I didn't check in details this mod but I'm quite curious about people claiming it breaks their game. to achieve this mod you literally just need to change 2 values in the FCS in your global settings:
-weight strength diff 1x: 20 -> 0
-xp rate strength: 0.5 -> 1.5

I never seen any strange behavior tweaking those settings tho I've never set the "weight strength diff1x" to 0 I usually set it on 1.

Will break your character's stats or bug your bodyparts eventually. Do not use.

lol thank you, I've had this as a Discussion for like a year now (multiple threads/posts). Was wondering what would even potentially cause it, as it's seemingly random.

Don't use: mod occasionally causes an integer overflow when dealing damage which sets the body part health to -1. This prevents body parts from being amputated and KO'd but also causes skill values to behave weirdly. The bugged out body parts can't be healed, and it doesn't get fixed when importing the save. Only editing the values manually in the save file fixes it. Stay away!

mod breaks weapons you're too weak to wield. tanks combat speed on heavy weapons if you dont have strength requirements

I need to echo what Salt Oreos said, this mod seems to cause overflow errors with regards to limb damage. Griffin took 2 million damage to his leg and it seems to have permanently glitched out his blood and left leg health.

well damn , all theses years and i never even notice that, very nice, does this only effect my crew or do i need to prepare for weak enemies getting tough too?

the actual requirement is equal to base weight or 40x blunt, whichever is higher.

2x weight is never actually used and is only "accurate" if the 40x blunt happens to be double the weight.

i.e. a Topper only needs 8 strength, no matter it's quality, not 16.
