Description
Got tired of the cluttered main menu?
Need a more useful ingame menu?
Hate the stylized font but you don't want to install a new font?
Want the ability to see your custom menu background images better?
Tired of remembering developer commands and want it all on a single screen?

This mod may be for you!

This mod replaces the cluttered main menu and ingame pause menus with a minimal menu that only contains text.
Other Menus such as settings, achievements, "Create game", ect. have alo been modified.
This was made for 4k (3840x2160), I've tested it in other aspect ratios such as 4:3 and 16:10 and it seemed to work, but I can't guarantee that it will.

WARNING! Manual edits required!
This mod changes the font via l4d360uischeme.res!
In order to see the swap of the Stylized font to the sleek font, you must use an auto-executable file to temporarily swap the resolution back and forth.
Add the following to your autoexec.cfg:
mat_setvideomode 3840 2100 1 //The above sets resolution to 3840x2100 windowed. IMPORTANT TO USE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT RES! // Obviously you would need to use a res a few pixels smaller than YOUR res! wait 10 mat_setvideomode 3840 2160 1 //Sets resolution to 3840x2100 windowed. USE ACTUAL RES HERE! //The 1 at the very end means it runs on windowed, swap it to 0 to use fullscreen. // If you launch the game with -console, you should see a block of error messages about being unable to find fonts. this is normal.

Rayman's Mutation mod Compatibility
This Menu allows you to load Rayman's Mutations, but You must edit the loadorder of the addons to avoid conflicts!
Go to
Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2
and open up
addonlist.txt
Look for the line that contains
"workshop\121070254.vpk" "1"
and move that to the VERY BOTTOM of the list, (or at least make sure that my mod (3032403531) is above Rayman's mutation mod!

I can not. Because the two mods are mutually excusive.
Both redesign the same main menu file.

You can, however, modify the load order of your addons so that the clean menu mod has higher priority, allowing you to see that mod instead of mine. At least for the main menu aspect. The game will still tell you that there are conflicts, but the mods will still work.

But i would argue that my mod is better.
IT does the same things that the clean menu mod does, and more.
But i am biased towards my own mod, so what do i know.

Hi, it says it's not compatible with the Clean Menu mod. I was wondering if you could fix this, please.

if you install this mod locally it should enable before the workshop mods are loaded.
You can do that by taking 3032403531.vpk out of the addons/workshop folder and placing it in the addons folder. And then also rename it to something more sensical like "Minimalistic_Menu.vpk"

If you do that, you could also unsubscribe from this mod, but then you won't get updated anymore, if i ever do push one.

i got it to work! apparently i have to use exec autoexec in the console, even though its in my launch options

every font is changed. But if you have a mod that alters the scheme files, that change might not affect you.
