Southern Pacific 4294

Description
This locomotive is a cab forward. This loco was made because the Southern Pacific Railroad had a lot of snow sheds and the crew would have trouble breathing because the snowshed blocked all the smoke in. The temporary soulution was to run the locos in reverse. This resulted in low visibility so they would have to run the locos slow though the snow sheds. So they had these cab forwards built at Baldwin Locomotive Works until they were enevitibly replaced by diesels.

Before anyone gets mad, I did ask Redstonista if I could use his Big Boy for a base. Huge credits to him because I could never make something this scale on my own. The youtube link is not to my channel, in fact I don't even have one. I do not mean to impersonate Redstonista.

Controls:

1 = Forward

2 = Backward

3 = Thruster assist

4 = Whistle

5 = Dynamo (Lights)

Doesn't run on track made of blocks for some reason. :(

You can see this locomotive at the California State Railroad Museum.

More of the story:
Some downsides of this design is that because the fireman stands at the back of the loco, communication between him and the engineer is non existant. Also, this loco is an oil burner because the tender is so far away from the firebox. This caused the wheels to slip when the oil leaked.

UPDATE:
-Changed the 2, R, & E to match Redstonista's "small pipe serif".

Kinda just spit-balled for the cab. It's been a while since I've actually seen this train. Also as you probably noticed, I'm bad at sections which contain a bunch of random pipes. Cudos to you, you're great at it lol. My solution was just put a wall there. :P

Oops, I just realized I misspelled your name. Gotta fix that! :P

Thanks, those couplers are by a guy named STILLET RUSSIA. Make sure to disconnect the controller connection. That's just there to make coupling easier.

as strange as this locomotive seems, you did a good job; the coupler is interesting, it seems more functional with the only disadvantage of being huge compared to my original (which is more of a test that barely works, is weak and comes off easily); all in all great work, Redstonista approved creation
