An original rework of the Lakon Spaceways Diamondback Explorer from Elite Dangerous, originally designed by Endevours and Valikai now comes with upgraded looks, an overhauled interior and vastly reengineered internal systems. This modern iteration pushes the boundaries of what's possible in such a small spacecraft, without sacrificing the charm and ruggedness the Diamondback series is known for.

Built for those who live for the journey as much as the destination, the Diamondback Explorer now features a more advanced propulsion system. Not only has its maneuverability been significantly improved, but the changes also extend the fuel time, useful for brave explorers. The ship is equipped with one jump drive with a range of 2000 km, allowing you to discover the universe in your pace. The revamped design now also comes with two gyroscopes instead of one, giving you a level of control and stability that is second to none. Powering all this are two batteries and four small reactors, ensuring that you always have the energy you need for all your explorations and scientific endeavors.

The ship now features state-of-the-art automation features, including a Deplete-Me-Not Automated airlock that prevents oxygen drain. Cruise control offers the convenience of automated forward movement, turning off automatically once you're in zero-gravity environments. Among other automated features are Lithobrake for safe deorbiting, a smart Undock Procedure, and Aerotransit (disabled by default), a fuel-saving system that intelligently switches between hydrogen and atmospheric thrusters depending on your surroundings, and a Remote Control. For communication, you get one standard antenna and a laser antenna, enabling long-range data transmission and robust connectivity. This is particularly useful for explorers who venture out into the fringes of space where conventional signals may falter.

IMPORTANT: To set up the Lithobreak to work properly, add a single waypoint well outside gravity well of any planet to the Basic Task AI block.

You can expect extended cargo capabilities with six small cargo containers, and the ability to conduct minor refining activities thanks to the inclusion of one assembler, one basic refinery, and three O2/H2 generators. For those worried about security, this model comes armed with four interior turrets, providing peace of mind as you venture into the unknown. When it comes to fuel and life-support, this Diamondback Explorer model has you covered with one oxygen tank and a combination of one large and two small hydrogen tanks.

Step inside and you'll find the interior is designed for two people, complete with a bathroom, shower, wardrobe, and even an entertainment center. Also noteworthy is the small research lab, a new addition for those who wish to study alien soil and organisms on their journeys.
