Description
A dialogue fix for Southern Hivers.

Did you know that Southern Hivers are called "human" in dialogue as a placeholder? Many bits of dialogue also do not recognize them, even if it checks for Western Hivers. I decided to try modding Kenshi for the first time to fix this.

If you have any other mods that places Southern Hivers into the same race group as Western Hivers, this mod is redundant and may cause overlapping dialogue.

List of goodies:
  • New dialogue has been added for Southern Hiver players talking to Hive traders, and for workers spotting the player.
  • Various dialogue lines from the Holy Nation have been updated to check for Southern Hivers.
  • The Hiver Ronin player dialogue has been updated to work for Southern Hivers. Espher had it, yet he wasn't allowed to use it before. Rejoice!
  • Hive-based biome dialogue lines will now trigger for Southern Hivers.
  • Added dialogue for Southern Hivers entering Royal Valley/Greyshelf and Vain.
  • Racial word swaps have been updated to count Southern Hivers in the hive category.
  • Grammar fixes for Southern Hivers in character creation.
  • Added a player Ronin response to their crops being eaten. None were set.
  • Compatible with Southern Hive Praetorians from Hives Expanded thanks to being in the same race group.

The content is subject to change, and suggestions are welcome if you know of any Hive-specific interactions that need updating for Southern Hivers.

Went through and checked all my mods and for some reason it was Faces+ that changed Southern Hivers from being in their own category to being a subrace of Hivers, mod works perfectly fine now

Hives Expanded is compatible, but I know little about GenMod. If you can access the southern hive in the character creator, are they listed under the same race category as the western hive? If so, that's not vanilla behavior, and a mod has made it that way. This causes the different dialogue to overlap.

Having an issue where Hiver traders initiate dialogue just fine and I can buy things from them, but they reset to their default 'LOST ONE! HIVELESS! GET OUT!' lines right after I exit the trade window. I can still trade with them while they yell this, but whenever I visit the robotics shop they *just* yell at me to get out and I cannot initiate the trading window. I've disabled every other mod I know makes changes to Hivers and had all my Westerners run as far away from the village as possible just in case, but the issue still persists. The only other mods that I think maybe could be affecting this one are GenMod and Hives Expanded, is this mod incompatible with either of those two?

The Southern Hive is intended to call you no-hive, even in vanilla. Just like the relation with the Western Hive, they consider you an outsider for not being part of their collective anymore.

I'm playing as Eyegore thanks to your great Eyegore mod. And I subscribed this mod too. I found that the patrolling Southern Hives still says "no hive" when they encounter me (my squad has only one guy, Eyegore). Is that possible to fix?

As far as I know, I don't have any mods where I would expect this. Apparently, one of them does have such changes, but I don't know anything about it :vlambeerChicken:

You most likely have a mod that places both groups of hivers into the same race category. I noted this in the description.

The mod isn't working properly. I was playing as a soldier of the western hive and as soon as I went to a store in one of the villages of the hive, the merchant perceived me as a soldier of the southern hive. We traded, then he cried out that I was without a hive :dswilson:

I mean a mod that includes south hivers without making them a hiver subrace, I thought subrace was all there was originally.

...Do you mean which mod combines them?
I do not know, I don't use mods like that.
