Containee People #4

wanted to re-visit containee people, made this.
This is the Containee People #4. He comes with a blade on his hand, a poker if you will.


One of the many containees transferred to the new Containee Storage Facility, He was codenamed #16.
#16 was one of the most neutral containees, often easy-going and compliant.

One day, while watching his television within the USRG holding cells, a test-gas was dispensed within the room, knocking him out.
He woke up in a completely different room that was noticeably more dark and cold.

Peaking out the new window within this new room, he saw people in suits just like him, in unique codenames and more.
Quite odd, considering he was sure he was the only one contained back in the USRG base.

A curious containee while walking past his window stopped, and looked him directly in the face.
Startled, he closed the curtains..

A while later, he mustered up the courage to leave the room.

He was greeted to the hallway he saw previewed within the window, as a overhead speaker directed everyone to lunch.
This new place was described by other containees just like a prison. Just somehow worse.

While eating lunch, the same curious containee appeared, as she was codenamed #19. She looked strange, not appearing like any of the other containees.
#19 was a containee who knew the in's and out's of this carefully created society and what it had to offer for containees..

She explained everything to the dazed #16, as the place and it's containees were on a strict regimen.

It was bigger then the USRG base, that was for sure. This new place was overseed by the US goverment, which was the advisor for the same division. They were more stricter then the USRG would have ever been. Often times, being cruel.
At any moment, #19 explained, they could want a random containee minding their own business, and suddenly be plucked for no reason. Other times, the US goverment could've feared the containee for being too powerful, intellectually or physically.

#16 also discovered there was something called "The Containee Trials". It had multiple trials for the average Containee. The Physical Trial, The Mental Trial, The Re-Construction Trial, The Insanity Trial, or The Team Trial.
All five trials were dubbed the Fatal Five by containees, as nobody would walk out unscathed, or just a little bit scarred. They would always come out different. Sometimes, their old personalities vanished, as new and more violent ones took their place.

Hearing that chilled #16 to the bone, as now.. He realized the USRG offered way more mercy then whatever this new facility had in offer.

He finished his lunch, as #19 said her farewells, not before handing him a slip of paper.
On the written paper, was a list of containees irreversibly scarred by any of these tests, these being Containee #14, #10, and [REDACTED]

#16 found that weird.. But he wanted to learn more.

The next day, he met up with #19 to hear more and what to avoid..
She gave several pointers for #16 to take note of.. She had discussed of a sixth trial being discussed by the scientists when sneaking out of her cell out at night.

#19 became rather paranoid when she told him about the sixth trial, almost like she was hiding something about it..
When confronted about it, she swiftly brushed that notion to the side, trying to avoid it talking about it.

#16 wanted to get the answer, but decided not to pressure her to say it.

So, he walked back to his cell, and called it a day.

A few days later, she mysteriously dissappeared.. as #16 questioned it.
The other containees didn't notice or mind, as they did their normal routine like per usual.

#16 went investigating, going agniast protocol.
He stumbled into a staff only room, where he discovered a pair of scientists, as they had #19 ripped from limb-to-limb, with strange black blood dripping on the matte floor.

They took notes of the unique specimen, as #19 was horrifed at what he just saw.
The scientists noticed, and called security to handle the situation.

They knocked #16 out, as he was chlorformed, and was stuck into a trial.
He was now in the Physical trial, fighting a new combatant.. Codenamed #13.

#13 was said to be one of the most calcuative people contained, having unique strategys for fighting..

#16 did not want to fight, but was forced by the scientists to do so.
A fight began, as they threw fists.

#13 pulled out a hidden knife when fighting #16, slashing him directly on the eye.
It left a nasty gash near his eye, but not blinding him. The gash was a long scar dripping with blood.

Temporarily catching him off guard, #13 pushed him onto the ground, where he would later bruise and cut him to the point of near death.
He held the knife up in the air, attempting to swing it down and finish #16 off..

A buzzer was heard, as #13 fell to the ground, hit with a remote-controlled shock. He had a cuff near one of his hands that dispensed the shock, delivered by the scientists.
Without wasting time, the scientists dragged #16 into the mentioned "Re-Construction" trial.

The point of the Re-Construction trial, was to repair the human body of any damages, replace any destroyed/cut off limbs, or upgrade them for a rematch of the next trial.
They put #16 onto a operation table, where a unnamed scientist decided for the examinist, named [REDACTED] to sever his left arm, replacing it with a giant blade.

The examinist fixed #16 up, sewing up scars.. fixing the mess made by #13.
He placed him in a recovery room, waiting for him to heal.

Whenever #16 was concious, he was suddenly thrown into a rematch with #13..
#13 was also outfited with a upgrade.. a larger knife compared to last time.

Still woozy, #16 could see #13 running at him with the knife.
#16 quickly ducked from the knife attack, as he stabbed #13 directly in the heart, killing him.

He had won the trial.. fair, and square.

The scientists took intrest in him as their next lab rat, as their old one, Codenamed #10, had shortly died after being released.
But first, he had to rest for a while..

So, the scientists put #16 back into his cell.
When #16 was put back into his cell, he thought he could see a shadow of a man near the corner of his cell.

The scientists went back for #16, where they discovered him dead.
His blade was bloodied, as it seemed like he had preformed the act on himself..

With #16 dead, who would be the next lab rat now?

The scientists were directed to a potential person who could fit that role.. Codename #20.
