UTHI YR Series

Description
Gay and trans rights are human rights. If you're against gay and trans rights, you're against human rights. Actions to violate human rights are always crimes against humanity. Those who are against human rights should be excised from your life, and any communities and groups you consider worthwhile, just like any other tumor.

NOTICE: It is highly recommended you turn off "train rotation smoothing" under Gameplay, when using these. They'll look rather wonky moving around curves otherwise.

UTHI YR154 - Yard Switcher / Light Roadswitcher, 1500hp, 4 axle, B-B Type. Produced 1965-1985. A late rethink of the YS124, giving it the same trucks as the LR204, and an inventive redesign of the prime mover, it had a few hundred horsepower over its predecessor. The YR154 would have replaced the YS124, if not for the fact that it was more labor intensive to produce. It was meant to operate as either a heavy yard switcher or a light roadswitcher. A submodel with dynamic braking was also produced, but few railroads would show interest. Like with the CC94, the YR154's hood was not great enough to effect a proper rebuild program, though a more fuel and emissions efficient YR154R1 was produced.
UTHI YR174 - Yard Switcher / Light Roadswitcher, 1700hp, 4 axle, B-B Type. Produced 1966-1989. Coming out of the same program that developed the YR154, the YR174 had all of the same advantages and drawbacks as its "little brother," and its story follows a very similar pattern. The difference comes with the rebuild program. The increased hood size of the YR174 allowed for an effective rebuild option, the YR204R1, which raised the locomotives power to just over 2000hp.

Using Shift+1 through Shift+3 will change out which set of hood stuff is visible.

Notice: the model size has been corrected, positions in trains in saved games will need to be adjusted, and any livery you've made for these models will need to have the wheels offset, and coupler offset corrected.
