Last April I went on a trip to Jordan. I visited quite a few things, the most important of which were Petra and the Dead Sea.

I bathed in the Dead Sea. A sea covered only in sea salt. No living organisms can be found inside. And we have to rinse with unsalted water so as not to lose hydration and die.



Walking around the Dead Sea, I observed the salt. It looked like ice or rock crystal at times. It cracked under my feet. At times, I could feel my fingers prickle when I took a bite.



So I wanted to transcribe what I'd seen and experienced through Counter-Strike, particularly under the MP5-SD skin. As you can see, thanks to the new parameters and effects introduced in CS2, we're getting very close to the salt of the Dead Sea. Crackling, color, normalmap and roughness effects bring a real sense of realism to the weapon.
