gm_hpatcos_castle (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets)

A map of the inside of the castle from the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 2002 PC Game.

The map comes with all of the textures, models, sounds, and magic (of course) that were in the original 2002 experience (some features are not included, see side information). It's also packed with all of the secrets as in the game, so try to find them all if you can (try not to cheat)! Unfortunately, you can't use magic to unlock the secrets, but if you have a keen eye then it'll be easy for you to find them. The spongify carpets (the green carpets with a swirly symbol on them) can by used by damaging (shooting / hitting) them.

The map is also equipped with a node graph and a navigation mesh for all of your Nextbot needs.


This project took 7 months to make and the process can be described as mostly painful (and boring). I didn't include the Grand Staircase because the map was already reaching it's limits, so I'm sorry if you were expecting that to be included as well. Also, if you're a die hard fan of the game, you may notice that some of the map geometry sizes are wrong (ex. too big or too small), and I'm also sorry for that, but I was already too deep into the map making to fix these issues. Lighting also isn't completely accurate, but it was pretty much impossible to 100% mimic it.
