Amber's Officers (Standalone) (V2.1)

Description
Amber's Officers

Heyo, I'm back from a bit of a hiatus from shadows of change. I noticed there weren't many mods that did this, at least, not standalone. They were all either abandoned, or are packaged into massive overhauls. So here I am with my own personal take on an officer mod.

TLDR, it adds "Officers" to a variety of units in the game. What are officers? They're basically a single unit that stands apart from the rest of their unit, usually at the front. They give units a bit of flair and immersion by having a sort of "captain" or, well, officer. These are cosmetic only.

Hope you enjoy! Any and all feedback is always welcome, and thank you as always for supporting me and my mods.

NOTE:
This is a STANDALONE version of my officers update for my reskin pack Amber's Megapack

This mod was designed with my reskin's aesthetics in mind, but you're completely free to use this mod on its own with no issues. You do NOT need this mod if you plan on using my reskin pack! These are included in it by default.

Update - V2.1
-Added Kislev officer to Kislevite Warrior units

-Fixed issues with Some officers not using the correct animation sets

Update - V2

-Added additional officers to the following factions:

Grand Cathay (1)
Empire (2 - 1 new, 1 reworked)
Brettonia (1)
Kislev (1)
Chaos/Norsca (1)
Skaven (1)

What does it do?

This mod adds Officers to most of the infantry units for the following factions:

Empire - Two Officer Variations
Bretonnia - Three Officer Variations
High Elves - Two Officer Variations
Wood Elves - One Officer Variation
Dark Elves - One Officer Variation
Grand Cathay - Two Officer Variation

These are the only factions covered by this mod at the moment. I plan on adding more factions to this list, as well as adding more officer types across the board, and improving the ones currently included over time.

Once again, I hope you all enjoy! Thank you for all the love and support you've given my work, it means a lot.

Yeah I noticed that bug when I was editing my main mod. I tried a few fixes but Im still working on a solution for that. I'll work on it some more soon and push an update

High Elf Archer Officer has a Spear equiped, uses the crossbow animation and has nothing in his hands :D

They are purely cosmetic, however it does have two potentially negative side effects

It adds an extra entity that isn’t reflected in the unit number (the officer slot) so it technically gives each unit an extra soldier for what that’s worth.

And there is a rare occasional bug where a unit that kills/fights a unit that has an officer may sometimes get inflated kill stats in the end screen and may potentially get bonus experience because of it, but I’ve played plenty of hours with this mod enabled and have never encountered this issue myself, so take that for what you will.

are these purely cosmetic?

I really like the models for these officers. Any chance you could make a Lord Variant mod with them?

The answer is yes and no, if the game updates don’t touch the faction they’re a part of or any of the models the officers use then yes it *shouldn’t* have any problems. But sometimes the game just breaks things especially with rapid fire hot fixes so your mileage may vary.

Is this generally compatible regardless of game version, or does it need an update?
