I explained it a little in the previous comments.
If you think about it though it's kinda true in a way: he's so omnipotent, powerful and completely unconceivable to us that his mere sleep influences our universe in a way no one can understand. From our simple, human point of view that would just be a way an idiot act, wouldn't it? Like, why would you run an universe in your mere sleep and influence it by simply existing, and then risk completely annihilating it if, for whatever reason, you merely... wake up.
