CVN-83 Ranger “突击者”号航空母舰
“突击者”（Ranger Class）级航空母舰是白星合众国海军继杰拉德·福特级航空母舰之后针对福特级航空母舰故有问题做出的增大改进型超级航空母舰，此型舰基于福特级前五艘舰船出现的问题进行了针对性改进，并以福特级为蓝本进行了整体放大，以容纳更多设备和战机。

针对福特级出现的问题，突击者级做出了以下改进：
·稳定动力系统和传动系统支撑结构，增强传动效率，减少维护周期
·改良电磁弹射器结构和设计及供电系统，减少电磁弹射器宕机概率，大大提升电磁弹射器可靠性
·改进拦阻系统，将电磁拦阻索与电磁弹射器分区区分开，提高可靠性和拦阻回收效率
·改良的武器与物资操作设计，能在航舰上更有效地运送、调度弹药或后勤物资，大幅提升后勤效率，改进优化后的带线性马达的水密性隔舱。
·加大飞行甲板和舰体尺寸，提升舰体稳定性，提高甲板调度效率
·增加MK-41垂直发射系统，增加舰船自身中/远距离防御能力，同时增强自身多用途能力
·能搭载为数85架以上的舰载机，提供在海上环境保存和养护饮食战机的机库条件，包括F-35闪电II、F/A-18E/F超级大黄蜂式、EA-18G咆哮者、E-2D鹰眼预警机、MH-60R/S骑士鹰式多用途直升机、同时支持MV-22鱼鹰及后续的无DOLLS舰载机，下一代作战飞机等后续战机的使用及维护条件。

突击者级原计划取代福特级建造序列中后继CVN-82之后的所有5艘后续舰艇，但由于CVN-58合众国级方案的突破，突击者级建造了含本名舰在内的两艘后便无下文。

CVN-83 Ranger USS Ranger
The "Ranger" class aircraft carrier is an enlarged and improved super aircraft carrier developed by the White Star United States Navy following the Gerald Ford class aircraft carrier in response to the problems of the Ford class aircraft carrier. This type of ship is based on the problems that occurred in the first five Ford class ships. Targeted improvements were made, and the overall scale was enlarged based on the Ford class to accommodate more equipment and fighters.

In response to the problems that occurred in the Ford class, the Raider class made the following improvements:
·Stabilize the support structure of the power system and transmission system, enhance transmission efficiency, and reduce maintenance cycles
·Improve the structure, design and power supply system of the electromagnetic catapult to reduce the probability of electromagnetic catapult downtime and greatly improve the reliability of the electromagnetic catapult
·Improve the arresting system and separate the electromagnetic arresting cables from the electromagnetic catapult zones to improve reliability and arresting recovery efficiency.
·Improved weapons and material operation design, which can more effectively transport and dispatch ammunition or logistics materials on the aircraft carrier, greatly improving logistics efficiency, and improving and optimized watertight compartments with linear motors.
·Increase the size of the flight deck and ship body, improve the stability of the ship body, and improve the efficiency of deck dispatching
·Add the MK-41 vertical launch system to increase the ship's own medium/long-range defense capabilities and enhance its multi-purpose capabilities.
·Can carry more than 85 carrier-based aircraft, providing hangar conditions for preserving and maintaining catering fighter aircraft in the maritime environment, including F-35 Lightning II, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, and EA-18G Growler , E-2D Hawkeye early warning aircraft, MH-60R/S Knighthawk multi-purpose helicopter, and also supports the use and maintenance conditions of MV-22 Osprey and subsequent DOLLS-free carrier-based aircraft, next-generation combat aircraft and other subsequent fighter aircraft.

The Ranger class was originally planned to replace all five subsequent ships in the Ford class construction sequence after CVN-82. However, due to a breakthrough in the CVN-58 United States class program, the Ranger class was no longer available after building two ships including the original ship.
