The Savoy-Plaza Hotel (Hotels & Retreats DLC)

Description
Welcome to this 5 star hotel. The original building had been demolished in 1965 to pave the way to less glamorous site... similar fortune that had happened to the building standing there before The Savoy-Plaza Hotel ... and looking better still :)

The settings here may challenge your gameplay - with its rooms for 1808 guests and a running cost of nearly 65500 a week, you will have to keep rooms occupancy at around 90.5% if you keep the lowest price, or at 26.5% at the highest price, to cover the maintenance cost and get a bit of income. Bear in mind it's not Cities Skylines 2 so you can set the room price in millions and tourist here won't mind it (in theory).

The Savoy-Plaza Hotel by N2J with the original model here, now available for the Hotels & Retreats DLC.

It's got its own settings, not from any template. And I took some liberty and changed its colour map (no colour variation as I couldn't find any suitable place to appear on the texture) and darkened the walls texture so it's not too bright.

Thank you N2J for the pleasure of re-creating your model and making it work for Hotels & Retreats DLC.
All credit goes to N2J.

I guess i've overdone the settings, it seems to be my work - it's a large building :). Unless there's a mod adding to it.

So far, it's just this one. The Vanilla ones are all fine. Your Grand Hôtel Cascade and United Kingdom Hotel don't have the same "problem".

Also, it's fine, no need to apologize! I'll treat this as some sort of occasional "cheese" but with a couple of challenges to keep the money flowing.
It needs to be at the right place to fulfill its steep requirements. It needs its very own Ultimate Recycling Plant and High Capacity Police HQ to deal with how quickly garbage piles up (what are they doing in there lol), and how it's a big crime magnet due to the many VIPs visiting such a lovely hotel hahahahaha!

Oh hahaha.... I don't know what is happening there. The workshop stopped working over a year ago so i can't correct anything. And i stopped seeing any point in making new assets if i can't make any changes to them when anything breaks.
Sorry for this experience. Is it the same with other hotels, including vanilla ones?

The hotel occasionally glitches out and goes berserk. At one point, it had 4003 / 1808 guests and raking in tons of profit at 483,003/week. Then it went back to normal. Truly a wonderful hotel!

Looks like Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver

Updating assets in CS1 doesn't work anymore - so it's quite risky to publish assets now - if something doesn't work very well... one can't upload a fix anymore.

On the other hand... it's a massive building holding spoilt people - tourists - typical, isn't it? ;) tourism is always demanding and straining the economy to its limits :)

I love this asset - only thing I wish the garbage accumulation would be lowered as it is often too demanding.
