Quzhou City is a famous historical and cultural city. Founded in the third year of the Chuping reign of the Eastern Han Dynasty (192 AD), it has a civilization history of over 6000 years and a city building history of over 1800 years; In 1994, it was named the National Historical and Cultural City, with a long and continuous cultural heritage. Quzhou is the ancestral home and second hometown of the descendants of the sage Confucius. It is the center of the dissemination of Confucian culture in Jiangnan. Throughout history, Confucianism has been flourishing and talented, earning it the reputation of "Southeast Queli and South Confucius Holy Land". The Quzhou Confucius Nanzong Family Temple, located in the urban area, is one of the only two Confucius Family Temples in China; Within the territory, there are 5A level scenic spots such as the Gengong Buddhist Culture Tourist Area and the Jianglang Mountain Twenty Eight Capital Tourist Area, as well as world natural heritage sites such as Jianglang Mountain.

Quzhou Railway Station is located in Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. It is a passenger and freight station under the jurisdiction of Jinhua Depot of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. It passes through the Shanghai Kunming Railway, Shanghai Kunming High Speed Railway, Qujiu Railway, and Quning Railway.

Quzhou Station was founded in 1933 and completed its original expansion, reconstruction, or relocation in 2006 and 2017. In 2017, the new station building at Quzhou Station was put into use.

As of January 2017, the total construction area of Quzhou Station building is 14000 square meters, and the maximum number of people gathered at the station design is 3500; It is arranged for one station and two tracks, with 4 sets of 11 tracks on the regular speed track and 5 sets of 7 tracks on the Shanghai Kunming Expressway track.

Starting from June 20, 2020, Quzhou Station will fully implement electronic passenger tickets.
