The Finnish Army in 1939-1940 was the armed force of Finland that defended the country's independence during the Winter War with the Soviet Union. In the face of Soviet aggression, the Finnish army focused on defending its territory, using the terrain and difficult winter conditions to its advantage. The conflict began on November 30, 1939 and lasted until March 13, 1940. Despite the significant numerical superiority of the enemy, the Finns showed extraordinary courage and defense skills, which resulted in maintaining the country's independence.
