Tram Milano Serie 5100 & 5300

I Tram della serie 5100 sono le vetture ottenute dalla ricostruzione della serie 5000 (dopo i bombardamenti della seconda guerra mondiale). Sono vetture costruite in lega leggera, ispirate alle PCC Americane.
L'equipaggiamento elettrico prevede 4 motori da 26kw l'uno (tipo milano 36). La velocità massima era di 40km/h.
La serie 5300 è sostanzialmente un aggiornamento della 5100: vengono installati motori più potenti e la cabina del manovratore viene resa più ampia.

The 5100 series trams are obtained from the reconstruction of the 5000 series (after the bombings of the Second World War). They are built in light alloy, inspired by the American PCCs trams.
The electrical equipment includes 4 motors of 26kw each (milano 36 type). The maximum speed was 40km/h.
The 5300 series are an upgrade of the 5100 series: they get more powerfull motors and new driver's cabines (for more space).
