Description
"The Revenant, for when being just 'slightly overpowered' isn't enough"

Remember the old F/X-8 Nemesis and how OP it was? Now imagine something even more powerful than that. Oh wait, you don't need to imagine, because you are currently staring at its steam description page.

What was originally supposed to be a minor upgrade to integrate E.H.C.S into the old "Nemesis" model quickly spiraled out of control. After a couple of months of thinking whether we could and not thinking whether we should, we created this monster of a plane.

It's overpowered, unfair to fight against and probably causes insane amount of salt from anyone who tries fighting it, but hey, nothing in the Geneva Convention said anything about "the unfair use of technology" so feel free to take it for a spin.

The Fighter Jet That Went To College
The most prominent feature of the Revenant is how modular and smart everything is. Several features listed below guarantees the user a smooth and pleasant experience, these include...
  • An advanced Fly-By-Wire system with automatic leveling, automatic altitude hold, automatic yaw trim adjustments and built-in autopilot for improved user experience in flight.
  • An advanced artificial horizon that is a combination of HEVS Artificial Horizon and Lead Computing Optical Sight .
  • Integration with E.H.C.S Hardpoint Control System for vastly improved weapon modularity and ease of selection. Also includes integration with Vector Dynamics's classical button-press weapon selection method.
  • A primary touchscreen MFD display users of the KJ VIPER would find familiar, as well as secondary touchscreen displays.
  • Integration with NNTC's NN-Link Datalink system.
  • An FLIR-Designator system that automatically points a laser towards the target selected by the FLIR Pod.
  • Variable maneuverability settings for fine tuning of controls in mid-air.
Of course, the classical Vector Dynamics features like Automatic landing gear and Automatic canopy are also included.

A Plane You Can't Catch
As of Sep/2023, the Revenant is probably more maneuverable than any other fighters currently on the market. Thanks to a pair of improved thrust-vectoring exhausts, bigger canards, and a better thrust-to-weight ratio, the Revenant can now pull up to 100Gs while reaching a top speed of 402 Meters/Second .

Furthermore, the auto-chaff system has been massively improved in terms of reliability and speed. Equipped with more than 100 chaff launchers, the Revenant is practically immune to missiles of any kinds when controlled by a skilled pilot as long as the auto-chaff is up and running.

Note: The Revenant comes with three modes based on its throttle value, these are...
  1. Dogfight Mode, activates below 25 throttle, great for maneuvering and well, dogfights.
  2. Standard Mode, activates above 25 throttle but below 110 throttle. A Jack-Of-All-Trades mode that's good for most things.
  3. Supercruise Mode, activates at 110 throttle. Switches the engine into ram-jet mode and heavily reduces control sensitivity. Good for getting from point A to B fast.

Redefining the word "Multi-Role"
Thanks to Anonymous Sandwich's innovative E.H.C.S Hardpoint Management system, the Revenant is incredibly modular in terms of its aresenal: Mount a couple of bomb racks and you've got a heavy bomber; mount some cruise missiles and you've got a supersonic missile truck; mount some Anti-Ship Missiles and you've got a fleet-killer. There is nothing stopping you other than your own imagination and Stormwork's crappy optimization.

The default loadout for the Revenant includes a well-balanced selection of munitions designed to tackle almost anything. These are...
  • LWSM: 2xCustom-Tuned YG-M2 "Cobra" AAM/ASM
  • STDM: 8xAIM-9G "Sidewinder" AAM
  • HASM: 4xVector Dynamics "Starfall" ASM/AGM

Of course, switching them out is as easy as deleting the old ones and adding new munitions onto the hardpoints!

Other Random Assortment of Features
-The Revenant comes with reinforced landing gears specifically designed to endure rough landings, it also has ground-steering capabilities. However, it can't reverse with ground-steering.

-The Revenant comes with a (partial) reverse-thrust mode where a portion of the engine's thrust is reversed, great for slowing the Revenant down even further in dogfight mode.

-The Revenant comes with emergency recovery parachutes in case somebody do manage to get a lucky shot off. It is activated by a button directly beneath the main screen.

-The Revenant comes with various personal equipment, including an UMP-45 SMG with 2 backup mags for self-defense, a flare gun for emergency signalling, a thermo-vision binocular in case the FLIR pod fails, and some medkit and a welding torch to repair noncritical damages in-flight.

Known Issues/FYI
-Due to the vehicle sub-body update, the YG-M2 missiles have a very real chance of homing in on the plane that fired it. Try not to fire the Cobra when there is no clear target in sight.

-The Revenant carries a large amount of fuel, crashing it or damaging its main body will almost guarantee an oil spill. Though there is a way to fix them real quick...

-The Thrust-Vectoring exhaust cones are very fragile, selecting them via the select tool will break them.

-The underbelly hardpoints are prone to accidents and collisions. Vector Dynamics offer a 3-year warranty to any damages caused by mounted munitions colliding with the plane or each other.

-The Revenant is not a spacecraft. It will become unstable at around 20,000 m and eventually lose aerodynamic control over 30,000 m.

I have two questions.First, is infinite ammo mode on by default?
Secondly, how do you ideally use cobra missiles?

Does this plane have SARH from vector dynamics weapons pack?

if your having problems fighting the aircraft its more of a skill issue, whenever I face off against this thing I get close. When someone starts turning they loose alot of speed, that's when I shoot them with a r 73 and take the aircraft out.

XML edited a bunch of chaff... really dude whats the point of a fighter jet if it uses glitches to never be locked onto.... nobody wants to fight a jet like that

for the laser thing, it needs a target (it uses radar tracking) point the aircraft at something and see if it tracks

Incredible machine. Absolutely. Only problem, I have no idea what the buttons do :(. Could you by any chance please make some sort of resource, either a video like what another user commented, or a graphic, or just text explanations for each of the buttons. For example, "laser" on the right display turns on a laser, but it just points at the body of the aircraft and doesn't do anything. Most likely this is intentional, but I am curious about that and others.
