this is a preformance and size accurate replica of the R-7 rocket that launched sputnic into orbit.

The R-7 was a Russan missile, this version was adapted to bring a payload into LEO. modernized versions of the r-7 rocket are still used today.

This is quite a crude rocket, you need to fly it to orbit without SAS, or just use Mechjeb.
