Zombie Dungeon Escape

Description
You are trapped in a strange building. Fight your way out, but be careful! One hit from a zombie and you're dead!
Use W to move forwards, S to move backwards, and the mouse to aim and shoot.

I made this game a long time ago, and decided to finally upload it.

continued I would also recomend checking your masks, mask centers, and how its handled in the draw event because, it seems they are all off down and to the right, that might be the sorce of a lot of your collison issuses. one the plus side you did do a lot of things right, the shooting mechanics are dead on, the room is well designed (once the collsions are fixed), the zombies ususally know right where to go (again once collisons get working), the sounds are nice, and it is addictive. In short with a little polish you'll have a nice gem.

okay, a few things, just for consturtive purposes. first off I would recomend seperating your movement and fireing controlls. when in a survivial horror game it is imparitive that the player be able to repostion and aim quickly, the way its currently set up it is quite hard to do that. second, one hit and dead is fine for selectively hard enimes, not all of them all the time, espically when they are faster than player. I would recomend either slowing them down, giveing the player a life bar, or some combination of the two.

Ive never really clipped into the walls, but i can see what you mean when you said that the collisions were crap.

Well, I'm going to be honest here, the collisions are crap. You often clip into walls. And I reccomend centering the zombies, so the blood goes in the right spot. But cool.

thanks man

i can see what you mean about the graphics, they were kind of over looked when i made this game a while ago, im no artist really.

Dispite the fact that I don't like zombies and ovearhead shooters where you aim with the mouse, I find this game enjoyable. I like how you can only move forward, giving it a limited mobility element that modern horror games seem to have abandoned. It's also quite challenging. There are a few bugs here and there, but nothing game breaking. The captive zombies at the beginning is a cool method of teaching the player on what to expect.

The "low walls" that can be shot through but not walked through and the "high walls" may benefit from having more contrasing graphics, because sometimes it was hard to tell which was which.

Anyway, cool game.
