LNER/Early British Rail Trackside Speed Signs

Description
LNER/Early BR Trackside Speed Signs

Update Notes - Please Read
If you installed this mod before the latest mod update (19th March 2024), you will need to go around to each of your signs, press configure and then reselect the pole type (double click on the pole type).
This is due to a change of the model name, in order to prevent a clash with another mod! I have learnt that TpF2 does not differentiate between model names of different mods.

Since I needed a better speed sign mod for my YT series, and none seemed available, I decided to make my own. Thus, we have the LNER/Early British Railways Trackside Speed Signs. Featuring most, if not all, of the speeds and designs you will need to add to the authenticity and detail of your 20th century of British railway playthrough!

Features
  • Seventeen Different Speed Options - See Below for List
  • Differential Speed Board (Seventeen Options for Secondary Speeds)
  • Two Whistle Boards - Short Whistle and Whistle (non functional)
  • Short Pole Option for Yard/Approach Work
  • White (1930s - 1960s) and Yellow (1960s-) Boards
  • Diverging Track Speed Arrows - Left, Right or Both
  • 'All Lines'/'All Routes' Descriptor Board for Approaches
  • Offset Left/Right or Leave in the Centre, with Offset Fine Tuning
  • Easy to Change Speed as Your Railways Improve without Needing To Demolish
  • Available from 1900 (For the most realistic usage, use from the late 1930s)

Please note that this is my first mod for TF2 and it may have a few small issues

Right, having had a look at this, I cannot see any issues whatsoever. I run it in my own YT series and it seems to be running absolutely fine. If you load a game with just this mod enabled and nothing else at all, does it still crash?

I will take a look at that this week and see what is going on - I still use it in my saves so I am not sure what could have broken it; it is quite a simple mod without anything that should break the game!

This mod is saying it may cause my game to crash if I enable it, I tried to boot a map with this in the turned on mods and my game crashes every time, Hopefully this is something that can be fixed

warning pops up now saying game might crash when playing it on the mod list

I've really enjoyed this mod and it adds a lot to the feel of the map. The only small improvement I would suggest is that the reverse side of the numbers themselves should be black, not yellow/white. This was the case in real life to avoid Drivers driving trains in the opposite direction mistaking signs for ones which apply to them. I'd also love to see the gaps filled in at higher speeds (55, 65, 75 etc) but that's a smaller thing.

Pole issue has been fixed - please read update notes for information!

If I fix the issue (which I have done on my local mod) it will require everybody to reselect the pole height on every sign they have placed - I am not sure if that is the best idea at the moment. I will see if I can find another way around it.

@TheIronWolf Okay, I have found the problem and will make an attempt to fix it tomorrow at some point. Thank you for letting me know!

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2926128544 Can't say with certainty that this is causing the issue but given the nature of the bug I'd guess it is

@TheIronWolf Can you link the mod it is clashing with to me please? I can make an attempt to fix it, but I would need to check that mod out first to see what the clash is.
