In 1993 Ferrovie dello Stato (Italian National Railways) sold to Hekurudha Shqiptare (Albanian National Railways) a group of 63 second hand coaches built at the end of the 50s, known in Italy as Tipo 1957 and Tipo 1959.
HSH classified them in three different groups:
- Series 300 for 2nd class coaches
- Series 400 for coaches with both 1st and 2nd classes
- Series 500 for 1st class coaches
These coaches travelled all over Albania since then, but due to their age and the shrinking of the Albanian rail system right now are mostly out of service and abandoned.


Due to the extreme lack of information about Albanian railways making this repaint was extremely difficult, and the result may not be 100% accurate. I set the starting year for all coaches to 1993, even though some liveries might be more recent.
