Here are some options:
1. Get this instead https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35609 (best option)
2. Find old USP on an unofficial site (I got a 2013 version from Uptodown, but last update to classic USP was in 2015)
3. Make the mod compatible as described by Kina-chan in this comments section: "If you're using Steam's version of the USLEEP, go to the mod page and you'll find a guide on how to make mods compatible." (Idk the details but there is apparently a way.)
4. Wait for modder to return (not likely)
Tbh, I felt this mod doesn't add anything meaningful. I never had merchant gold run out which is all I really wanted; and I played from Lv. 1 up to Lv. 52 with this mod. A simpler "more merchant gold" mod is fine.
Yes, I am using the Unofficial Patch. Mod might need to be updated for the 'Legendary' patch, as that's the only one redily available anymore.
If you're using Steam's version of the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch, go to the mod page and you'll find a guide on how to make mods compatible.
