Revive Mod

Description
Revive Mod

If you have any feature requests, or want to report a bug that you have run into with this mod, please create an issue describing it here[github.com]!

This is a multiplayer mod that makes it possible to revive other players in servers.
Upon death, players will leave an aura where they died that others can enter in order to revive the player.
As a way to balance respawn chaining when fighting bosses, this mod disables regular respawning during boss fights, forcing remaining players to revive others.

This mod also functions with hardcore players. Those that are dead will not naturally respawn, instead requiring a revival from another hardcore player.
Once all hardcore players are dead, players will respawn as ghosts and their saves will be deleted.

Use the "Pause Respawn Timer" keybind (P by default) to give others more time to revive you.
Config options allow you to alter the balancing of this mod, such as how long it takes to revive others and the speed at which auras may move.

I'm a uni student and make mods in my spare time, if you'd like to support my work, here's a link to my Ko-fi[ko-fi.com]!

How dose the mod reacts if they die mid-air?

No problems at all! The mod is currently set up so that only hardcore players are able to revive other hardcore players, and so it may have been that your character was not set to hardcore mode.

I should really just make that a config option at this point cuz it's caused some others the same issue, and I keep forgetting that I set it that way in the first place haha.

Nevermind, the mod works and I proper accidentally wasted your time on this. The character i created was the issue, sorry about that hombre.

Thanks for at least having the dedication to look into it, good lad, and sorry again for taking up your time.

We first tried it with 2 mods, one with an additional hardcore mode function and it didn't work, we then disabled the additional mod and tried standalone with your one and it still didnt seem to wanna work

The whole scenario went like this:

We loaded up, my mate died to a slime and the aura circle appeared, there wasn't any countdown displayed from when the circle appeared up until when it ran out of time and my friends hardcore ghost appeared in front of me.

The circle itself kept displaying my friends player name, over and over until the timer ran out and he died for good (rip my boy), the countdown you mentioned never appeared, which i'm assuming it should have been what was displayed instead of above being my friends name repeatedly.

Even attempting to tinker with the timer on his end and mine as well we only got the exact same outcome even though he set the time to stand in the aura to 2 seconds.

@SpookySpazo Just gave the mod a test in hardcore and it all seems to be functioning correctly with the current tModLoader patch. Did any numbers appear above the circles while attempting to revive? As it should count down from 5 or 10, while a player is inside. Were you playing with any other mods at the time, especially any that influenced respawning or hardcore in general? Let me know about any other details and I'll see what I can do to get it working!

Your mod isn't functioning currently, me n my buddy have been trying it out for an interesting hardcore run we were setting up for the lads.

Problem is when one of us dies and the other enters the circle (even for the 10 second mark as indicated in the config) it doesn't revive him at all, either there's clearly something im missing, or this is just bugged entirely with the new patches to the modloader as of recent.

If you got any info on what it might be, or if you can even look into it that'd be mad helpful, cheers big man

For some reason someone needs to re-join to save someone. Why is that?

@The Sigma Male I've not implemented that as a setting just yet, but am planning to in a future update!
