Midcentury Middle Class Home Set

Description
Welcome home!

Welp, it took about three years to finally finish this set. But! At long-last, you can now have a set of nine gorgeous mid-century starter homes for your very own city!

I did release one of these fellows years ago. Unfortunately the only way I can get into asset editor is with the --noWorkshop command, so I could not match the decor of the initial "Leland." So, this set includes the original model with a basic pavement driveway to match the others.

Goes well with some of Khrysler's homes (like The Raymond, The Akin, or The Milton) or this collection of 1950s/1960s Americana assets assembled by m4gic.

Description

These are small tract ranch houses that fit well into any (especially north American) environment. They popped up in droves in the postwar period to house burgeoning families of returning soldiers/homefronters. Proliferated about the time that Elvis released this banger (same vibe too, if houses could make songs!).

While they are based on houses found on the South Side of Milwaukee[www.google.com], they really do belong anywhere. I frequently passed by them in Denver, Atlanta, and Fresno. If you saw the Five Nights at Freddy's movie, the MC lived in one of these. The movie was set in Minnesota (I think?), but filmed in Louisiana. And of course, there exist many such examples on Long Island near Levittown.

No wonder they're called "cookie-cutter" houses. Appropriate for Christmastime. Gave them generic Twentieth Century white guy names.

Recommended Assets

None. Only vanilla with this set, for reasons elucidated in paragraph one. Full permission is granted to anyone whom has the desire to decorate and republish these as they see fit. I'd like credit for the base assets if possible.

Specs

Note: these are pretty light assets. They all share the same textures (use Loading Screen Mod to reduce filesize), and the LODs are simple boxes. And, they look great up close! Optimized for any system, truly :)

The home described as Henry shows failing to load on the LSM. But these homes look great, very similar to some homes in the Broadmoor area of Shreveport, LA

@lizard, you can see all released assets by selecting the "dudemeister's Workshop" link near the header. My unreleased assets are just test releases when I was trying to figure out the workshop. They are are all duplicates of released assets.

Hope this helps! Thanks again, and happy Turkey holiday modding y'all!

About the time I thought I had enough houses for any CS build I want, you make these. Very good work and, they remind me of the house I grew up in, in the mid-50's. Thank you for these.
