Description
"An elegant mixture of freedom and destruction. The Raven soars freely beyond the fire-scorched skies."

Smart, Multirole, VTOL-Capable. The F/X-9 Raven is the most advanced fighter jet created by Vector Dynamics so far.

Developed during the 6th corporate war for the Tri-Corporation Alliance, the Raven was initially considered to be a cheap, mass-producible alternative to the R/X-8 "Revenant" Series Air Dominance Fighter. However, as the 6th Corporate War continued to escalate out of control, the Raven was refitted and improved to be something completely different yet equally capable. The Raven primarily acts as a multirole/Air Dominance fighter within the Vector Dynamics internal security force.

As one of our top-of-the-line F/X Air Dominance series, the Raven will be continuously maintained and updated as long as Vector Dynamics remains active around Sawyer Island.

Technical Specifications
  • Top Speed(in lower atmosphere): 350m/s.
  • Weight(unloaded): 7,500 Units.
  • Fuel: 34,000 Liters, Standard Jet Fuel.
  • Dimensions: 15.25m Span, 20m Length, 4m height.
  • Flight Control: Fly-By-Wire, Autopilot & Auto-Stability included.
  • Fire Control & Armaments: E.H.C.S Standard, 14 Hardpoints + Internal rotary cannon.
  • Fuel Efficency: 40+ minutes at max throttle, 2+ hours in cruise/VTOL mode.

Armaments

The Raven utilizes AnonymousSandwich's E.H.C.S hardpoint communication system. The default loadout includes the following:
  • A built-in 30MM "Hellraiser" Rotary Autocannon with 1500 rounds of HE/Incendiary Ammunition
  • 6 Vector Dynamics "Starstrike" Radar-guided Antichaff Air-To-Surface Missiles
  • 8 AIM-9G "Sidewinder" Missiles
The Raven also features an improved auto-chaff system with increased response speed and 216 chaff countermeasure launchers.

Systems
The Raven uses a variety of custom and workshop avionics. These are provide the Raven with a well-rounded list of capabilities while remaining user-friendly. These systems include...
  • A Primary HEVS MFD similar to that of the Revenant and the KJ Viper, albeit with a custom NN-Link Datalink Integration replacing the interactable map.
  • A custom-modified touchscreen HUD that combines the HEVS Artificial Horizon and Lead Computing Optical Sight .
  • A custom NNTC FLIR Pod that outputs its current target as NNLink Target, (optionally)GPS Missile Target as well as Laser Designator Target.
The Raven also features an improved ground-steering system, automatic canopy controls, automatic landing gear controls, automatic underwater thrusters for submerged operations, touchscreen buttons and touchscreen RWR.

Additional Notes/FYI
-De-activating the Raven's VTOL Mode while being less than 6 meters to the ground will activate landing mode, disabling engine throttle input for 10 seconds.
-Activating "Dogfight Mode" In VTOL mode will enable pusher thrusters, granting the raven faster speed but less VTOL stability.
-Although less problematic than the Revenant, the Raven's roll controls will become signifcantly less responsive during high-G turns. Please be cautious about activating HYPER mode.
-The Raven's ground-steering motors are on a seperate electric grid, directly wired to the onboard microfusion generator. To charge the Raven's internal batteries using the microfusion generator, "GEN" Must be enabled through the touchscreen button.
-Please, please for the love of god read through the flight manual. [docs.google.com] It's still work-in-progress but talks about the systems in detail.
