he Irish Coast Guard (IRCG; Irish: Garda Cósta na hÉireann) is part of the Department of Transport in the Republic of Ireland. The primary roles of the Coast Guard include maritime safety and search and rescue. The Irish Marine Search and Rescue Region (IMSRR) is the area over which the Coast Guard has responsibility. This area is bordered by the UK Search and Rescue Region.

Air ambulances spawn only in the event of a medical emergency.
To get random emergencies, you need to play in the difficulty level "moderate" or higher. If you play on "easy", the chance for emergencies is almost 0%.
If you play in Sandbox mode, emergencies have to be turned on in the advanced settings when you start the game.

If you want to change the settings or the diffuculty settings in an existing savegame, edit the GameData.json file of your savegame. For more help, please visit the Apog Labs forums.
