Now this may sound weird and I'm not a modder who has actual knowledge, but I know that for example the simple mod "Skip Intro Movies" (or similar, there's a couple of them, one is built in WH3MM's options), very popular among mod users and creators rarely ever outdates.
But when it was outdated/problematic the last time, all the cinematic voice(s) in the game menu were silent. So it might be a first step for your research - e.g. look at "Skip Intro Movies" changelog from its last actual "hotfix" and have a look what the author did to get rid of that bug... Jiust a wild idea <3
