摩耶号重巡洋舰是日本帝国海军高雄级重巡洋舰的三号舰。于1930年下水，参与了太平洋战争的多次战役。该舰在1943年11月的拉包尔空袭中遭受重创，之后三号炮塔被拆除且于1944年4月完工改造成防空巡洋舰，改造后的摩耶搭载了8门203毫米主炮和12门127毫米副炮，还配备了强大的防空武器系统。然而，摩耶在战争末期于1944年10月在菲律宾海战中被美军潜艇击沉。
Maya was the third ship of the Takao class heavy cruisers in the Imperial Japanese Navy. Launched in 1930, it took part in multiple battles during the Pacific War. In November 1943, Maya sustained heavy damage during the Rabaul air raid. Subsequently, the third turret was removed, and in April 1944, it underwent a transformation into an anti-aircraft cruiser. The modified Maya was equipped with 8 main guns of 203mm and 12 secondary guns of 127mm, along with a powerful anti-aircraft weapons system. However, Maya met its demise in October 1944 during the Battle of the Philippine Sea when it was sunk by a U.S. submarine.
