Description
Im back! - Changes to the mod
Yes, i've been away for a while. Had other 'projects' & no motivation to play GoH in the previous months. But since i started to play i again, i felt like giving modding another try.

Sadly a lot has changed in the previous updates, so i practically had to re-do the whole mod from scratch. Working trough 89(sick!) map files was tedious work ...
but hey - 'no pain, no gain eh' ;)

I removed the custom maps in the newest update tho. Some don't exist anymore and i already spent hours updating & testing 89 vanilla conquest maps for now. You can still use maps created by other people in the workshop but without(!) arrow infinite features.

Intro:
I honestly think the lack of visibility of crude attack direction in conquest is a bad design. Especially in defense missions, this can be a pain to plan your defense line. Also from a realism POV your recon should be able to give you at least a direction the enemy may come from,right?

Sadly all mods that made it possible in the past don't work anymore or crash your game so i tried to make my own version, with a different approach how it will be displayed ingame.

Duly noted this is the most ambitious mod-project i ever made for GoH, but i can finally say i got all 31 base game maps aswell as 25 maps from Talvisota DLC, 25 maps from Liberation DLC working & 8 new Maps are added aswell. (Dunno where they come from, names seem to western front theatre tho!... at least in theory, testing 89 maps takes time ;)

Features:
  • You will be able to see all possible attack / reinforcement directions in conquest when you start a mission in conquest. This does include attack aswell as defense missions.

    Note: Due to the method the arrows are displayed, you will see also arrows for your own team/allies when starting the mission. They will disappear in a few seconds.

  • Support for all new conquest maps provided by Talvisota DLC.

  • Support for all new conquest maps provided by Liberation DLC.

  • Support for 8 new maps that added to the game in the last months[NEW]
    Rouncy, Hill 331, Hurtgenwald, Isigny Ruins, Schoppen, Samree, Sainte Marie du Mont, Purple Heart Lane

What this mod DOES NOT:
  • Showing you from which direction the AI will attack exactly. They usually have four different angles to choose from.

  • Showing you when exactly the AI will call in their reinforcements.
    Note: Guess the advantage to see directions all the time , should make up for it ;) Imo it made no sense to see it with Fog of War enabled anyways
    Note: Seems you'll see a blinking red circle at start(!) of a defense missions now, before the AI calls in their units. Once the circles vanish the attack will start soon! (Game feature, not my mod)

  • Adding Support for official maps that are not supported by conquest in the base game or DLC.

  • Adding Support for non-official maps from workshop.

    Note: Please take a look at the sticky to check the supported custom/SP maps. If you are a mod author please write me so we can try to make it work!
    I just started modding GoH again - give me time LOL

Compatibility
This is a very lightweight mod, what makes it very compatible with other mods.
However it is most likely not compatible with total conversations i.e. "Conquest Enhanced" or mods that add and/or change maps.

IMPORTANT:
You have to apply my mod at the end of the load order to make my changes stay, since this guarantees overwrite of conflicting mod-files.

@Everyone.
Found time & patience to update the mod again. All new maps & DLCs supported. :hardgrave:
Had to re-do it from scratch due to many changes, but it seems to work so far.

Know issue: If it won't update for you correctly you may have to re-subscribe, at least i experienced this. ;)

keep in mind it also makes artillery blips permament as well, which is more annoying in FoW mode.

Not sure what i did but yesterday was working great for all the liberation maps and today doesnt show any marker (even the default red circles the game added). Was there a game update i didnt notice and the mod needs updating?

@Raven / I think It works fine, even with indicators from recent game update. but I didn't checked those newly added western fronts conquest maps, not sure about those.

there is a mod for the campaign missions that show where the enemy will come from on defenses?

I have used all these with A&Rm, they all work except for the supply one but you have to activate A&Rm first, then go back in and activate these after.

I was playing with [pt]GOH A&Rm - Authenticity & Realism (addon - defence timers) v1.10a
but it doesn't seem to work with this mod enabled.
